The Bird and Animal Park is open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 4pm, as well as every day during school holidays. It is available for functions. Kids can cuddle cute rabbits and guinea pigs, handfeed the animals, and the family can enjoy a drink or a snack in the cafe or on the verandah surrounded by bird life and the tranquility of shady trees. Only 10 minutes from town.
Twilight Beach was recently voted the most popular beach in Australia and it’s a fantastic place to take the kids for a swim. Other popular swimming spots for children include the Esperance Bay (In front of the Yacht Club on the Esplanade) The James St Jetty and Castletown Quays. Adventureland Park is located on the Esplanade, next to the Taylor St Jetty. The Park features a climbing whale, maze, fenced playground and a pond to feed the ducks. Parents can sit back and enjoy a drink at the Taylor St Café whilst they watch their children play. The Skate Park with ramps is located along the Esplanade next to Adventureland Park.
Amberland is open every day during summer (weather permitting) in the park in front of the Municipal Museum (on the Esplanade). Inflatable water slides, rides and activities for all ages. For the slide of your life! Call 0438 212 490 for session details.
The Mini Steam Train is located on the grounds of Adventureland Park. The operating times between 01 October to 30 April are 10am to 4.30pm daily during school holidays and weekends during school terms. The cost is $2 per ride.
Children are always keen to visit “Sammy” our resident Seal at the base of the Tanker Jetty. The Jetty is a popular fishing spot for people of all ages and it is a wonderful place to go for a walk.
Esperance Mini Golf is open Sundays as well as every day during school holiday from 10.00am - 4.00pm. This 18 hole mini golf is located on the Esplanade near the Adventure Land Park and the skate park. Jolly Jalopy's are available for hire also. Great Family Fun!!!

Esperance Museum - One of WA’s outstanding regional museums, the Esperance Municipal Museum contains historical objects & memorabilia from the 1800’s, parts of the 1979 Skylab (America’s first space station), photographs & a locomotive engine. Open daily from 1:30-4:30pm.
