Hope in the Wind is bringing together people and events for an appreciation of art, culture and connection to Esperance with a historical lens! The centre-piece is by Goldfields-Esperance Artist Nasanya 'Sunny'Ling with her Solo Exhibition Hope in the Wind. With oil paintings exhibited across two venues; Art Gallêy and Bistro Louis in the historic Museum Village, and a small display here in the Museum. Nasanya Ling's artwork presents a window into a past that we recognise through celebrated photographs, film and buildings. This shared history is made new and vibrant through her imagination. Expect to see ballerinas, theatre, remote homesteads, workers, shops and scenes of everyday life. Embrace the simple pleasure of walking a pop-up Art and Culture Trail between the Visitors Centre and Esperance Museum. On the trail, find opportunities at various locations to be immersed in stories of past eras through paintings, architecture, workshops, documentary screenings, Q&A’s, live music and fare.
